Naming rights are open and nothing is signed
The New Rockbeach Stadium opens August 2028, 26,400 seats, and it sits on the water. It has no permanent name yet because the naming rights are not signed. Two candidates. Gadget Industries, new to town, has money on the table and the board does not like the optics - the CEO is not an alum and is widely understood to be in Osprey trying to get out from under a pollution problem back in Texas. The other is Julio McGlaughlin, who owns The Cove Packaging. His boxes ship for the largest retailer in the world, he is a billionaire, he is an alum, he genuinely loves football, and he wants it. Nothing is signed. But the assumption around town is that McGlaughlin gets it, and people have already started calling the building The Cove.
