Renamed ten years ago. Everybody still calls it The Rock

The football stadium is Jacobsen Stadium, renamed ten years ago when it needed renovation. Jacobsen graduated Rockbeach as a kicker, had a brief pro career, then caught the real estate bug and built a real estate and clothing fortune now worth $4.6 billion. Almost nobody calls it Jacobsen Stadium. Everybody calls it THE ROCK - partly for Sandy, and partly because a fan out on a boat noticed the stadium rising off the shore skyline like The Rock's eyebrow.

People have started calling the new stadium The Cove, on the assumption that Julio McGlaughlin of The Cove Packaging will win the naming rights. Nothing is signed and the name is not official. Note that the team store is also called The Cove.
