Phillip Wishamp III

Phillip Wishamp III directs the Beacon Society, the annual giving fund that supports all twenty Whitecaps varsity programs and runs from Member, at a single dollar, to Lighthouse Keeper at fifty thousand. He grew up in Spring Lake, the third Phillip in a family of a Coast Guard chief and a high school principal, and enrolled at Rockbeach in 2005, ushering game nights in the 1922 gym years before its renovation into The Beacon. After six years in development at Tallman College, he came home to Osprey in 2016 and has been walking donors up the giving ladder ever since. He logs more hours in small planes than most regional pilots, visiting Whitecaps supporters from Cape May to Connecticut, and is known for remembering the name of every donor's dog. He lives in Sea Girt with his wife, Meredith, and their three daughters, and runs the boardwalk on mornings that do not start at an airport.
