Robert Riddleton is the Director of Athletics at Rockbeach University. A Duluth, Minnesota native who grew up on outdoor ice, he played college hockey at Linda Island, where the Lightning won four straight national championships during his four years, then spent fifteen seasons as a professional and won the Cup twice. After hockey he built a second career investing in real estate and technology, and was enjoying the results when Rockbeach's then-president, a lifelong hockey fan, called and asked him to run the Whitecaps. Since arriving in Osprey he has made one of the most talked-about hires in college sports, bringing Josephine Nando to The Beacon as the first woman in the country to lead a men's basketball program. He is among the most active athletic directors anywhere on social media and answers his own mentions, usually within the minute. He still skates before sunrise most weeks, and nobody has ever accused him of being boring.
